NAU Celebrates First MSN Graduate
National American University recently celebrated the graduation of the first Master of Science in Nursing student. MSN graduate, Marvella Brave Bird attended the Rapid City graduation in May where she received her hood for her master’s degree as well as a special tribute from her family.
Marvella has worked as a nurse for Indian Health Services for the past 17 years, mainly in emergency room services. She decided to pursue her MSN degree so she would be able to further educate the Native American population. Even as a full-time nurse and family woman, Marvella has not slowed down as she plans to pursue a post-master’s degree. Congrats Marvella!
