NAU Associate Professor Becomes Chief of Police in Rapid City!
NAU Associate Professor, Don Hedrick has been sworn in as the Chief of Police for Rapid City, South Dakota.
On August 17th, 2020, National American University’s Associate Professor, Don Hedrick, was sworn into service as the Rapid City Police Department’s (RCPD’s) Chief of Police during that evening’s City Council meeting. Don’s appointment was unanimously confirmed by the Rapid City Council and is the result of a months-long process involving the Rapid City, South Dakota citizens and community leaders. In addition to being an associate professor at NAU, Don is also a Bloomberg Fellow in the Bloomberg American Health Initiative at Johns Hopkins Bloolberg School of Public Health.
