Military University Benefits & Tuition
We do all we can for those who’ve done so much.
An accredited online university, National American University offers a package of benefits and a reduced military tuition rate to active duty military, veterans, and family members who qualify.
Reduced Tuition
NAU offers a reduced tuition rate with no charge for instructional materials or technology fees to:
- Active duty, National Guard and Reserve service members
- Retired and separated service members
- Dependents with an unexpired United States Uniformed Services ID card
To be eligible for the reduced military tuition rate, students must possess an unexpired United States Uniformed Services ID card, unexpired Common Access Card (CAC), or a DD Form 214 with a character of service of honorable.
To be eligible for the reduced tuition rate, a student must complete the Military Information page during the application process.

National American University has dedicated military finance advisers to help you understand your military benefits and financing options, including:
Education Benefits and The GI Bill®.
Any U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs education benefit earned by members of Active Duty, Selected Reserve, and National Guard Armed Forces, and their families, it’s designed to help servicemembers and eligible veterans cover the cost of education and includes several independent programs. Edith Nourse Rogers S.T.E.M. Scholarship.
Veterans Affairs scholarship program designed to help students who are in a high demand training program (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) who may have exhausted or will exhaust their entitlement benefits prior to the completion of their program. Military Tuition Assistance.
Active members of the military may be eligible for military tuition assistance from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard. There also are assistance programs for dependents.
Veteran Financial Assistance.
Veterans and/or dependents of veterans who are disabled or deceased, may qualify for educational financial assistance through the Veterans Administration. Since the regulations regarding eligibility are quite extensive, and many times need interpretation, visit their website, call 888-442-4551 or contact your local Veterans Service Organization.
