The Medical Staff Services Management online associate degree prepares students to serve as an essential member of the healthcare team by equipping them with the knowledge and skills to perform the credentialing procedures that document education, licensure, experience, and continuing education requirements for physicians, allied health, and other practitioners.

Graduates of this program with experience as medical services professionals may choose to seek the Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) certification.

Graduates of the program will:

  • Perform initial credentialing, reappointment, and delineation of privileges processes.
  • Maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards applicable to medical staff services.
  • Coordinate processes related to medical staff bylaws, policies, and rules and regulations.
